There’s only one thing in this world I love as much as photography and that’s food. I don’t always love to cook but the hard work is definitely worth it when you smell something hot simmering all day on a stove. Now that the weather has cooled off a bit and football season has begun, it’s time to break out the chili recipe! I first discovered this recipe on my favorite site ever: www.allrecipes.com. After several tries though, I decided that some of the veggies just didn’t need to be in there. It seemed anti-southern to put bell pepper and celery in my chili so I replaced all of that with a can of Hatch chiles. Also, I add Ro-Tel tomatoes because I like things a little spicy! I made two large pots last weekend and in my excitement, forgot to take any pictures whatsoever. I’ve been looking forward to sharing this recipe for awhile now and I’ve put it off too long so here it is… sans pictures.
P.S. I also use fritos, sour cream, and green onions on top – if you are Texan, you will not use oyster crackers. And if you do, don’t tell me about it!
